Traffic restrictions in Brown and Winnebago counties
 
(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing US 41 lane restrictions for Dec. 26 – Dec. 30 in Brown and Winnebago counties. Traffic impacts in Brown County include lane closures near WIS 172 and reduced speed limits between Morris Avenue and WIS 29. Drivers in Winnebago County are reminded of reduced speed limits from WIS 21 to Breezewood Lane. Portions of US 45 will be closed during daytime hours at the US 41/US 45 interchange.
 
Brown County
WIS 172
Monday, Dec. 26 – Thursday, Dec. 29:
• Various lanes of northbound and southbound US 41, between Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue, closed Monday through Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction of the Dutchman’s Creek box culvert
Southbound US 41 on-ramp from eastbound WIS 172 scheduled to open to traffic by 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24
 
Winnebago County
US 45
Tuesday, Dec. 27 – Thursday, Dec. 29:
• Complete closure of US 45 at US 41 Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to place steel girders for the new US 45 interchange flyover ramp, connecting northbound US 41 to northbound US 45
 
Details of traffic impacts include:
• Full-freeway closure of US 45 between Fernau Avenue and the southbound US 41 on-and off-ramps for three days, starting Tuesday, Dec. 27, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Northbound US 45 and Fernau Avenue traffic will be routed north on Lake Butte des Morts Drive to Ryf Road (County T) to US 45
• Southbound US 45 traffic will exit at Ryf Road and be directed south on Lake Butte des Morts Drive to US 45
 
The following ramps will remain open during construction:
• Free-flow ramp from southbound US 45 to southbound US 41
• Southbound US 41 off-ramp to US 45
• Southbound US 41 on-ramp from US 45
 
All lane restrictions and work operations are weather dependent and subject to change.
