US 41 at Glory Road in Brown County closing next week
Girder placement partially shuts freeway for two nights
(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing the complete closure of northbound US 41 near Glory Road on Monday, October 24 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the complete closure of southbound US 41 in the same location on Tuesday, October 25 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.  The closures are needed to place girders for the new Glory Road overpass. Motorists should anticipate possible delays and are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes.
Details of traffic impacts for Monday, October 24:
Northbound US 41 closed between the off-ramp to Ashland Avenue and northbound US 41 on-ramp at Oneida Street from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Northbound US 41 traffic will be detoured onto Ashland Avenue to Pilgrim Way to westbound WIS 172 to northbound US 41
Northbound US 41 on-ramp from Main Avenue (County G) closed
Details of traffic impacts for Tuesday, October 25:
Southbound US 41 shut between the off-ramp to WIS 172 and southbound US 41 on-ramp from Ashland Avenue from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Southbound US 41 on-ramps from westbound WIS 172 and Oneida Street closed; southbound US 41 on-ramp from eastbound WIS 172 already closed for box culvert project
Detour route for southbound US 41 motorists will be eastbound WIS 172 to the Ashland Avenue ramp onto Vanderperren Way, east on Vanderperren Way to Ashland Avenue, south to US 41
Westbound WIS 172 traffic looking to access southbound US 41 will be detoured to Pilgrim Way and to Ashland Avenue, south to US 41 
The $2.3 million project involves replacing the bridge over US 41 and improvements to Glory Road between Market Street and Holmgren Way, ahead of the expansion of mainline US 41 from four to six traffic lanes in 2012. The work continues through early December 2011 when the bridge reopens.
All lane restrictions are weather dependent and subject to change.
